THE ARMORY SHOW: Booth 113

Javits Center, New York, September 4 - 7, 2025

100 DRAWINGS

David Nolan Gallery and Marc Selwyn Fine Art present a collaborative booth featuring an ambitious salon-style installation of 100 works on paper, spanning from 1948 to the present.

This curated presentation highlights the dynamic possibilities of drawing as both an intimate and expansive medium, with works by Rodolfo Abularach, Richard Artschwager, Mel Bochner, Frank Bowling, Steve DiBenedetto, Carroll Dunham, Barry Le Va, Lee Mullican, Albert Oehlen, Lucas Samaras, Jorinde Voigt, among others. Alongside celebrated figures, the installation also showcases exceptional drawings by lesser-known artists, creating a compelling dialogue that underscores the vitality and diversity of modern and contemporary practices.

The selection brings together artists of varied nationalities including Guatemalan, Lebanese-American, German-Italian, British, Canadian-American, Iraqi-American, Chilean, among others - with backgrounds in painting, sculpture, set design, photography, conceptual and installation art - who all turned to drawing as an essential part of their practice.
