"The drawings here are based on template details from ‘Apparition’, the photographic work. So, the subset of breaks and shifts of scale of the parquet diagonal lines are in reference to the collaged assemblage of printed floor details that one sees in the center of ‘Apparition’.
Moving left to right, this work also underscored what has become a specific spectrum aligned with the six thresholds in the house in Chicago, moving from east to west. This spectrum has been with me since 2018/2019 when I rethought the idea of spectrum specific to location of the six thresholds. And at this point, it’s a score itself. I look at the six colors and they immediately take me to my understanding of moving through the second floor of the house that I live in."
