"The darker range of the Hermitage spectrum—in the site-specific object ‘Leak’, installed here, adjacent— become tints of that same color sequence with the insertion of the spectrum into the upper most third stair. In a sense, the dark ‘Leak’ guides one to this work on paper, specifically developed to be a partner to the two stairways from 2006: one east and west from the house in Chicago. All three are realized at a one-to-one scale."
