This spectacular view demonstrates
Kahn's love for picturesque organization in his drawings. Standing on the north stylobate of the Parthenon and looking directly west past the Propylaea, the colonnade of the Parthenon becomes a vertically striped plane. The resulting sharp perspective does not glorify the beauty of the Parthenon but the important part it plays in the overall physical setting of the Acropolis.
