As she moved away from her in-depth analysis of the German philosopher Niklas Luhmann, she remained influenced by his thoughts on communication. Dealing with emotion has been a constant in Voigt's work alongside physics and music. Copper leaf in this work is used for its close color connection to a shade of human skin. The copper moves around the white gold leaf: two bodies in motion, dancing around one another. Voigt's own legs, arms, and hand imprints have been left on the surface as a result of her laying on the sheet of paper. The central white opening is straddled by the imprints of Voigt's legs. This work grapples with physical and theoretical ideas about human connection and communication.Exhibitions
