From November 29, 2013 through March 9, 2014 MACRO presents an exhibition of German artist Jorinde Voigt, a central figure in the emerging international contemporary art scene. Superpassion is curated by Mary Alicata.
For her first solo exhibition in an Italian public institution, the artist presents an installation consisting of a new series of large works on paper. Each design refers to a chapter or an excerpt of a book by Niklas Luhmann, Love as Passion: The Codification of Intimacy, 1982, in which the author gives an overview of the evolution of the semantics of love, that is first and foremost a code and a means of communication.
